Model AM10

The AM10 provides audio reproduction of electrophysiological signals. The unit combines an audio amplifier with a Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) in a compact, rugged package. This is especially suited to monitoring neural firing and muscle contractions. Accepts the signal conditioned output from Grass amplifiers.

The AM10 may be set on a lab bench. The unit can also be rackmounted, if desired, with optional hardware. The AM10 must be operated from a ±12 VDC Grass Model Power Supply (included).

AM10 SPECIFICATIONS
Input
Input   via two mini jack selection, an input of 1 volt in the LOW, 0.1 volt in the MED, and an input of 0.01 volt in the HIGH position will produce maximum power
  Minimum acceptable input for audible power is 20 to 30 µV
  1 volt peak-to-peak is the maximum permissible input signal
Input Selection   a five-position rotary switch provides selection of 1, OFF, 2, OFF and VCO
VCO   connects the input signal directly to the VCO. The volume and VCO level controls are active in this mode. The maximum input voltage is ±3 VDC
VCO Frequency Range   centered at 5 kHz for zero input.
5 kHz to 200 Hz for 0 to -3 VDC input;
5 kHz to 10 kHz for 0 to +3 VDC
Input 1 or 2   connects the input signal to the audio amplifier. All controls are functional except the VCO level
Off   grounds the input circuit via the Input jack
Input Resistance   20 Mohms, accepts ceramic and crystal microphones and other high resistance devices directly
