Featuring Model 15 Featuring Model 15 The programmable Model 15 Bipolar signal conditioning system form the "front ends" of these economical and powerful data acquisition systems. The system is modular allowing field installation of channel plug-in amplifiers. The Model 15 is a housed in a 19" rackmountable bin and will accommodate up to 32 AC channels. The system is channel expandable with quad (four) channel plug-ins. The input to the system is via shielded input cables and miniature bipolar electrode boards providing 2 active input jacks (G1G2) per channel. A single cable and board provides input for up to 16 channels. The Model 15 is supplied with two cables and two boards for the 32-channel capacity. Electrode derivations are made by simple connections to the electrode boards. An optional Electrode Selector system, Model 15ES series, allows remote electrode selection and switching, eliminating the need to change electrode derivations at the recording site. The 15ES1 is available in 4-, 8-, 12- and 16-channel versions, and can be expanded in the field by adding the electrode selector modules. Two 16-channel units can be setup for the 32-channel Model 15 system. The 15ES1 provides 23 selectable electrode positions in a numeric sequence of 1-21, A1, and A2. An ISOGND jack is included. The 23 positions can be used for single animals or it can be used for multiple animals by assigning certain electrode positions for each animal. An optional "splitter" system can be ordered for those applications requiring the full 23 electrode array to be used on each animal. For example, each bank of 4 channels in a 16-channel system could be arranged to have 23 electrode positions, thereby offering 6 selectable electrode positions per channel. Each bank of 4 channels has a separate input cable and electrode board. The AC amplifiers, Model 15A54, provide programmable gain, Low and High pass filters, Electrode Impedance test, calibration, and a high level analog output for interfacing a wide variety of display and processing devices. We offer application software for the Model 15 systems. For PSG research applications, Gamma can be supplied which has embedded controls for the Model 15 amplifiers. Our Model RSS-CD, a Research Sleep Stager package can be purchased. This software product enables the user to stage animal sleep recordings recorded with Gamma. In addition to sleep staging, the RSS provides the ability to analyze the frequency content of the data. The total power per epoch is calculated upon staging and if desired, the total power of up to 5 additional user-defined frequency bands can also be calculated at the same time. |
