Advanced Neurophysiological System This 2-channel system utilizes high performance Model P511 Amplifiers coupled to either the active HZP High Impedance Probe for microelectrode recordings or the standard unbuffered cable for macroelectrode applications. The P511 Amplifier features a wide range of amplification, low and high pass filtering for recordings of EEG, EMG, ECG and multiple unit activity, and an active 50/60 Hz line notch filter. Audio monitoring is provided by the Model AM10 Audio Monitor which provides a unique voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) function in addition to the normal audio amplifier mode. In the VCO mode, the input signal provides a tone between 200 Hz and 10 kHz proportional to the amplitude of the input signal. Other features include headphone operation, squelch and noise clipping, three levels of amplification, and low and high pass filters. Record extracellular activity and monitor neural firing with the AM10 Audio Monitor. Stimulation protocols are made simple with the Model S48 Stimulator and companion Model SIU5 constant voltage stimulation isolation unit. This combination provides single, repetitive and trains of isolated pulses with a wide range of rates and durations. TTL compatible synchronous inputs/outputs, external control of stimulus and train rates, makes the S48 ideal in computer controlled applications. A wide variety of stimulus paradigms are available using the S48 and SIU5 stimulus generators. PolyVIEW®, the Grass digital data acquisition package, is a Windows®-based application that connects directly to the P511 analog outputs to provide turn-key functionality, scrolling display, waveform cursor measurements, real-time annotation, variable sample rates and powerful analysis functions. PolyVIEW offers up to 16 channels of recording capabilities and a powerful digital oscilloscope function with 20 kHz maximum digitization rate/channel. |
