| The
new Channel Expansion Module expands the capability of the S88X
to provide stimulation for up to 4 tissue baths. The CEM expands
the S88X by providing a means of connecting a single S88X stimulator
output channel (S1 or S2) to two sites.
It is particularly
useful for connecting the high current output of the S88X to tissue
baths during field stimulation studies. Each S88X output channel
is capable of providing up to 1.1 amperes of current for this application.
The module provides the connections between the S88X output and
the stimulus site. For eight bath systems, two S88X and two distribution
modules are required. The modules are designed to mount on
the tissue bath support rods.
