The Grass Breathing
Sounds Microphone is intended to monitor sounds generated by the
passage of air through airways. Its small size allows placement
on the neck. The cable can be taped to the shoulder and connected
to the Input Cable. Alternately, the unit can be suspended near
the subject. Two isolated SAFELEAD® female 0.059-inch
(1.5 mm) connectors are attached to the cable for connection to
the Input Cable. These are the only connections to be made. The
microphone generates a relatively large signal in response to airflow;
approximately 1 to 5 millivolts. A single 1.5-volt battery is used
in the battery holder attached to the cable.
