Opens Expanded Facility in NYC
New York, NY –
May 31st, 2006 -- Clinilabs, one of the largest sleep labs in New York,
has relocated their corporate offices to the west side of midtown NYC,
at 423 W. 55th Street. Their new office is in a prime location and currently
they occupy an entire floor of 24,400 square feet. Their previous headquarters
at 1090 Amsterdam Avenue has been reduced to 6 beds equipped with PSG
(polysomnography/sleep studies) equipment and will continue to run sleep
studies in this location for now.
The official Grand Opening of the new facility took place on Tuesday,
May 31st, 2006. Clinilabs has been recognized by NYC and the Economic
Development Corporation of NY (EDC). Because of their outstanding achievements,
Mayor Bloomberg attended the open house event yesterday and joined Dr.
Zammit, President and CEO of Clinilabs, who had the honor of cutting
the ribbon at the ceremony. The facility is currently supplied with
20 state-of-the-art PSG systems supplied exclusively by Grass Technologies
of West Warwick, RI. The facility opened Saturday evening with 6 patient
beds and as of Tuesday evening 20 patient beds were available for patient
monitoring.
The main control room also houses 2 Grass Technologies Score/Review Stations,
which collect recorded data from all occupied beds. They also run a
number of other systems due to drug company mandates.
Clinilabs has proven to be one of the best sleep research facilities,
one of New York’s fast growing companies with over 100 employees
and now the largest sleep lab in New York. Clinilabs has also formed
a network with existing labs worldwide to obtain widespread research
studies. The company was founded five years ago and expects to employ
about 140 people by the end of 2007.
